This event is automatically collected by enabling measurement in the GA4 admin screen.
These include “scroll” (number of scrolls), “click” (number of exit clicks), and “file_download” (file download).

Manually set events you want to track based on your purpose (retail, recruitment, etc.).
Examples include “login” and “purchase.”
■ Custom events
Manually set events that cannot be measured using the above three methods.
GA4 Conversion Settings
To make the most of the data measured with GA4, you need to set “conversion,” which is also your site’s goal.
In Universal Analytics, conversions were set industry email list directly in “Goals,” but in GA4, “Events” are set as conversions.
First, select “Events” from “Settings” on the side.
A list of events will then be displayed, so turn on “Mark as conversion” for the event you want to set as a conversion.
This will now be counted as a conversion.
If the event you want to set as a conversion is not listed here, you can create a custom event by clicking “Create Event.”

GA4 useful function settings
We have introduced the basic setup increase conversion rate by hello bar method for GA4, but from here on we will introduce some additional useful functions that you may want to set up.
1. IP Exclusion Filter
Like UA, GA4 allows you to exclude access information (IP information) that becomes noise during analysis.
First, define internal traffic:
Click “Admin” on the sidebar, go to “Data Stream” in the property column, and select the relevant site.
On the Web Stream details screen, select “Advanced Tagging”, “Define Internal Traffic”, and then click “Create”On the screen for creating an internal traffic rule, enter the “Rule name” and IP address.
・Rule name: Something easy to understand, such as “Internal IP”
– traffic_type value: “internal” (default)
・IP Address “Match Type”: If there is one IP address you want to exclude → Select “IP Address is equal to” and enter “Value”. If there are multiple business to consumer reviews IP addresses → Select the applicable range and enter “Value”.
Next, configure the data filters.
From “Manage”, select “Data Filters” in the data settings for the property column, and select the traffic type you just set in the internal traffic rule.
On the Edit Data Filter screen, set the filter details.
– Data filter name: Something easy to understand, such as “Exclude internal IP addresses”
Filter operation: “Exclude”
・Parameter value: “internal” (you can leave it as the default)
– Filter status: “Enabled”
Enter the above information and click “Save” to enable filtering.
2. Integration with Search Console
Google Search Console (hereinafter referred to as Search Console) is a tool that helps you manage the status of your site, such as its ranking in Google search results, and analyze and improve it.
GA4 alone can only tell you the number of site visits from organic searches, but by linking it to Search Console, you can see on GA4 what search terms users used to visit your site.
Now let’s actually set it up.
Go to “Admin” on the sidebar, go to “Search Console Link” in the property column and select “Link”.
Click Choose Account and select the account you want to link.
